Carmine Tullio

President and CEO

Carmine founded Univeris, previously named CTA Systemsource in 1991, starting with a mutual fund dealer system. Since that time, Carmine has built Univeris into the leader in enterprise wealth management in Canada through its industry-leading EWMS wealth platform. Carmine’s strong commitment to both corporate integrity and delivering real value to clients led to the development of the unique Univeris business and technology model. These guiding principles have helped forge Univeris’ reputation for technology excellence, product reliability, and a strong focus on client service. He holds a BA in Economics from Sir Wilfrid Laurier.

Graeme Shiomi

CTO

As CTO, Graeme is responsible for driving software development and engineering practices at Univeris. In addition to development and quality assurance, this includes Univeris Architecture, DevOps, and Release Management practices. Software, Application development, and systems integration have been the focus of Graeme’s career over the past two decades, most recently responsible for Digital Development within the Canada Post Group of Companies. Graeme is a graduate of McMaster University’s Engineering and Management program.

 

 

Rob Young

CFO

Rob joined Univeris in July 2020 and leads all aspects of finance and administration. Rob has worked with several software and technology companies in the Toronto area for the last 20 years. He has extensive experience growing and scaling companies and leading them to successful exits to large, public corporations including SAP and CA Technologies. Rob is a Chartered Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto.

Richard Binnendyk

EVP, Enterprise Wealth Management

Richard joined Univeris in 1994. His commitment, experience, and accomplishments since then have been a key factor in helping Univeris grow to be one of the leading software firms in the Canadian financial services sector. His in-depth knowledge of the dealer business continues to benefit Univeris clients daily. In his current capacity as Executive Vice President, Enterprise Wealth Management, Richard is a key contributor to Univeris’ product direction, strategy, client relations, and business development. Due to his extensive industry knowledge, Richard is also a regular presenter at industry events, Univeris client conferences, and the Univeris Summit. Richard holds a BES from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Queens University.

 

Rich Owen

VP, Sales, and Marketing

Richard has more than 25 years of financial services experience with several major Canadian and multinational banks, asset managers, and technology firms. He has held senior roles in business development and technology implementation and was an investment advisor for several years. Rich has extensive experience in practice management and has been developing strategies and applications for business data and analytics for several years. His role with Univeris is leading the Sales and Marketing groups to build out the Canadian business and communicate the value that Univeris can deliver to wealth management businesses. Rich holds an MBA from York University and is based in Toronto, Canad

Ayal Amir

VP, Services and Customer Success

Ayal joined Univeris in 2020 and is responsible for fostering client relationships, account management, client success, and support. His team is chartered with partnering with clients to thoroughly understand their business processes and problems and to recommend a strategic roadmap for their Wealth Management solutions. Before joining Univeris, Ayal served as Director of Professional Services, Sales, and Customer Success for CA Technologies and as Director of Solution Delivery for NetCracker. Ayal holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School.
